With 14 days to go on the campaign it is more than halfway towards its goal, but still needs a good sprint to succeed. This is the first prototype BFT, from before CRI understood the concept of overkill. Jupiter Hell is a tactical roguelike that is sure to find its fans, but will turn others away with its high difficulty and overly random reeling to each run. A mere £16 will get you a copy of the game, a free wallpaper, and access to an exclusive backer forum where you can be amongst the first to get updates on the game's progress. Jupiter Hell was designed precisely to avoid that - shooting things outside of your vision has literally no effect (unless firing a rocket launcher), and instead of a vision bug, you have cover and dodge mechanics with explicitly shown values that allow you to minimize the chance to be hit. The developers are asking for £60,000 for the game, and there's quite a few attractive tiers to choose from. It certainly appears to be an interesting take on the many genres it takes from, and if DoomRL is any indicator, it will definitely be made to a high standard. Jupiter Hell is a traditional top-down, turn-based roguelike game set in a 90s sci-fi inspired setting. The game borrows concepts from early turn-based RPG's but gives them a modern spin, revitalised in a 3D engine.
